It sure took us a long time to accept the evidence
- hedora 2y agoThe fossil fuel industry had accepted it by the '70s or maybe early '80s. It is taking a long time for the resulting concerted disinformation campaign to fall apart though.

- skyechurch 2y agoThe (public) debate is not about the science, and hasn't been for a while. It's maneuvering to avoid getting stuck with the check.

- CatWChainsaw 2y agoI'm guessing that Need Oil + Need Excuse for War To Get Oil + Need Excuse To Create Surveillance Dragnet kind of all got amalgamated? It's certainly not causative, and I don't see the steps from A to B.
