I'm kind of alarmed by them blaming QC when the problem is the shape of the open space around the pedal allowing for such an opportunity. Even if the pedal itself didn't lodge itself there, a sandal or other shoe could similarly get wedged there.
- rasz 3y agoIf it didnt lodge there it would fall off and land under the brake pedal. How fast does Tesla stop with Regenerative Braking System set to Low and no brakes?
- yuliyp 3y agoTake a look at the TikTok video attached. The brake pedal has plenty of clearance around it on all sides, making the odds of this or anything else getting lodged preventing it from moving fairly low. That's not the case for the accelerator, which has the lip that the brake was getting trapped by within an inch of its top.
