For example the Thailand Smart Talent visa has additional requirements not listed on the site, requirements that few digital nomads can meet. Waste of time and misleading. The whole "digital nomad visa" is kind of a misnomer, because nomads don't live anywhere for a long time, by definition. Until some countries figured out how to collect taxes from non-citizen remote workers, digital nomads stayed on tourist visas and worked online under the radar. Some of the so-called digital nomad/remote worker visas have strict requirements that typical DNs cannot meet. Be careful not to trust sites like this one, start with the official government web sites and engage a lawyer or agency in the destination country if you want to stay there and work longer than a tourist visa allows.
