>Moxie Marlinspike (founder of WhatsApp)
WhatsApp was founded by Brian Acton and Jan Koum.
Moxie co-founded Whisper Systems.
- EGreg 3y agoGood point, sorry. Is it right to say he founded the tech and built WhatsApp?
- ziddoap 3y agoNo, WhatsApp was founded in 2009. WhatsApp did not partner with Open Whisper Systems until 2014. And the partnership was solely for the Signal Protocol. The rest of the entire app has nothing to do with Moxie at all.
