It’s a good time to share this again: https://community.intercoin.app/t/web3-moxie-signal-telegram-and-why-decentralization-matters/2230/ https://community.intercoin.app/t/web3-moxie-signal-telegram... My response to Moxie Marlinspike (founder of WhatsApp) a couple years ago about why decentralization truly matters, despite his critiques.

>Moxie Marlinspike (founder of WhatsApp) WhatsApp was founded by Brian Acton and Jan Koum. Moxie co-founded Whisper Systems.

Good point, sorry. Is it right to say he founded the tech and built WhatsApp?

No, WhatsApp was founded in 2009. WhatsApp did not partner with Open Whisper Systems until 2014. And the partnership was solely for the Signal Protocol. The rest of the entire app has nothing to do with Moxie at all.
