There is something seriously wrong with most people. You write things, and hope they are true. It is incredible. It's like Christians and other religious people. If I believe it, it will become reality.
- euratai 2y agoChina's 5% this quarter comes from massively subsidizing exports for its EV, battery, solar panels, at a steep loss per transaction, even though these type of exports are only 3% of overall exports. This is because their other engine of consumption and investment are failing. The window to do that is quickly closing, first with developed nations as Europe and US ramping up tariffs. Developing nations are starting to catch on, as Brazil and Mexico are hiking their tariffs on China as well. We'll see a steep drop of export (as we've seen for march [1]) for rest of the year. [1] China’s exports tumble 7.5% in March and imports also fall as demand slows https://apnews.com/article/china-trade-exports-imports-b25c21299101d2483f946a0ce264662f https://apnews.com/article/china-trade-exports-imports-b25c2...
- deviantbit 2y agoIt doesn't matter how it happened, their claim was they were in a depression. He also posted a bogus propaganda piece. Now he claimed it was down 50%, dropped a few articles he obviously didn't read.

Down 50% since covid started. https://www.lemonde.fr/en/economy/article/2023/08/20/china-s-unprecedented-economic-crisis-worries-the-rest-of-the-world_6099473_19.html https://www.lemonde.fr/en/economy/article/2023/08/20/china-s... https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-08-13/china-s-economic-recovery-faces-fresh-risks-from-property-crisis https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-08-13/china-s-e... https://www.cnbc.com/2023/08/15/china-is-grappling-with-a-confidence-crisis-says-economist.html https://www.cnbc.com/2023/08/15/china-is-grappling-with-a-co... https://www.theguardian.com/business/2023/aug/20/china-too-big-soviet-union-collapse-growth https://www.theguardian.com/business/2023/aug/20/china-too-b... Though they are probably correct there's no soviet collapse coming, but collapse non-the-less. Do you feel like these sources are sufficient? Or are they all incorrect? Isnt it interesting that China's public numbers are always 5-7% growth no matter what? >There is something seriously wrong with most people. You write things, and hope they are true. It is incredible. It's like Christians and other religious people. If I believe it, it will become reality. It's also interesting how some resort to attacking people.
- deviantbit 2y agoAgain, not true. It is not down by 50%. You obviously didn't read any of those articles.
- bllguo 2y agothis must be comedy? you think the chinese economy is down 50%? at no point did you question how unfathomably ridiculous such a figure is? i suppose this is the state of the west now, where literally anything negative about russia or china is accepted without question?
