Linux apps to boost your privacy
- scblock 2y agoThe link highlights two photo data scrubbers (one metadata, one visual redacting) and a file shredder program. Not much here to truly boost your privacy considering the way the internet works these days. Maybe if this fits your use profile this might be a helpful link, but for me it was useless. You'll probably get a little farther on privacy if you use full disc encryption, don't install or use Google products, and install an adblocker.
- phillipjprado 2y agoThanks for sharing my blog post! Sorry to hear you didn't find it useful, but I still appreciate you reading it with a critical eye. I also agree with you, full disc encryption is not only a good way to potentially increase privacy for many machines in many use cases, but it is also a great way to improve your security. If someone is using a laptop they carry around from place to place, disc encryption is a great safeguard as long as their machine doesn't get lifted while it is still powered on and unencrypted.
