Tesla Semi charging project is still alive despite Biden admin funding snub
- laweijfmvo 3y ago> That includes $70 million to the North Texas Council of Governments to build up to five hydrogen fueling stations for medium and heavy-duty trucks in the Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio areas. Lol, for which hydrogen trucks? Which Senator's brother-in-law owns a hydrogen fueling company and got this bid approved?
- peutetre 3y ago> Each station was originally slated to be equipped with eight 750kW chargers for Tesla Semis, and four chargers open to other electric trucks. No. This is not the way to do infrastructure, especially not when you want public money for it. All chargers must be open to all brands of truck. It's not hard to do. There's a megawatt charging standard to follow: https://www.charin.global/technology/mcs/ https://www.charin.global/technology/mcs/
