Tesla pushes for $56B pay deal for Elon Musk
- jfengel 3y agoAs a shareholder who's grumpy that (a) they just laid off a ton of people, (b) the CEO is running multiple other companies, (c) making Tesla look really bad in the process, and (d) undergoing substantial loss of market share... I'm gonna vote against that. Not that my measly shares matter. And it's fewer than it was; I'm gradually decreasing my exposure to this. It's aggravating, because I still believe that the company can do a lot of good. I think that they can be an energy company, not just a car company, and that's going to be incredibly important. They have had real insights -- in the past. But the Cybertruck turned out to be a joke, just as everybody said. I didn't want to believe it, but it's true.
- sonicanatidae 3y agoTesla is a study in irony, imo. They never would have made the waves they did without Elon Musk, and they never would have found themselves in the sinkhole they are in now, without Elon Musk. They need to eject Elon, so he can return to making twit the largest collection of Nazis, Right-Wing clowns and scambots ever and stop hosing Telsa with his oversized Id.
- ikekkdcjkfke 3y agoWhat about stock options for many years forward, to incentivize good performance (good behaviour)
- erichocean 3y agoThey tried that already, got the "good performance" and then stiffed him on the bill. I don't think they'll be able to stiff him twice.
- jrflowers 3y agoWho stiffed him and how
- erichocean 3y agoTesla shareholders, who sued to renege on Musk's compensation package.
- iamleppert 3y agoHow about they just shut it all down and give him everything?
- trogdor 3y agoTesla has created a website whose sole purpose is to convince shareholders to approve Elon Musk’s $56 billion pay deal. https://www.supportteslavalue.com/ https://www.supportteslavalue.com/
- bravetraveler 3y agoLooking at this from a distance is interesting. Starts off, issue 4: our hero. He did the impossible thing now we should pay him Next issue (3?): this is not a unilateral decision I could ramble about this for hours
- noamdolovich 3y ago> Instead, the 2018 deal set rewards based on Tesla's market value rising to as much as $650bn over 10 years. Stock in the EV company is now valued at $500.36bn, according to data. High quality reporting right here
- JojoFatsani 3y ago56B is higher than all the EBITDA they’ve ever generated right?
