Memoirs: Sir Arnold Whittaker Wolfendale. 25 June 1927–21 December 2020 (2021)
- zeristor 3y agoI was curious as to why Professor Wolfendale was Astronomer Royal for only a few years. He sounds like an impressive person, it seems he surrendered being Astronomer Royal since he was taking the government to task over science, and heard that the role of Astronomer Royal might be stopped. A great short biography
