This could all be solved if the OS vendors would add a 'share my childs screen' function to their operating systems. These incidents happen in isolation - make it possible for an adult to actually .. you know .. have oversight over their childrens online activities and it would be less dangerous.
- master-lincoln 3y agoIt would also be solved if care takers wouldn't let a child do stuff unsupervised on the internet. Or if a care taker educated a child about dangers on the internet. Do you really think care takers would watch their kids screens remotely all the time and then such horrific events wouldn't happen? I think it wouldn't help at all if that feature existed
- boffinAudio 3y agoAs a parent of two teenage boys, I would definitely prefer to be able to occasionally tune into whats going on with my kids screens. Definitely. And, I would definitely have caught things sooner if I'd had that ability. (Disclaimer: yes, we have been victims of these kinds of scams.)
