Products are reviewed based on their current capabilities, not their future potential. Having watched the review video, I don't think any of the points he brought up were unreasonable. It's not expecting perfection, it's just explaining what state the product is in.
- exitb 3y agoWhile a different caliber of a device, it does remind me of Apple Vision Pro, which is also carving out a new device category. In its case many reviewers were more receptive to the potential it promises, rather than just a set of provided features. I don’t think the pin is a good product to buy right now. At the same time I believe that in 5 years that style of UI will be more prevalent than whatever AVP tries to push.
