The timeseries graph is too fine-grained to discern any long-term trends in average temperatures. This comes up a lot, these kinds of graphs always give people problems.

- sixo 2y agoNo, you misunderstand (probably because you wish that was true). It's a basic conclusion of data visualization principles. Any method that could detect the trendline would—e.g. basic statistics—but "plot every single datapoint in a big cluster" can't, so it doesn't.
