- yrro 2y agoIndeed, I believe most end-user devices should use RFC 8981 (Temporary Address Extensions for Stateless Address Autoconfiguration in IPv6) to avoid pervasive monitoring. However you must bear in mind that this does nothing to prevent web browser fingerprinting, so the effective loss of privacy if temporary addresses are not in use is arguably pretty minimal.
