FreeTaxUSA is good except it does not accept any situation where another country might be involved. If you have foreign income, a foreign address, or anything like that, their software will not support it. Still, a great option for most people but it's worth noting. As a dual citizen, I had to worship at the altar of TurboTax again this year. For anything in between a simple W-2 or hiring a CPA, they are unfortunately the best option, no way around it.
