My understanding is while the US State Department might classify your US passport as "invalid" for travel to the DPRK, they can’t really stop you from applying for and getting a DPRK entry visa.
That said, please understand the responsibilities expected of visitors to the DPRK before you go.
- Grazester 3y agoI don't think they want to enter North Korea with a US passport. Even getting a Passport from St.Kitts or Dominica they will state you are not a born national(They state your place of birth). Good luck entering with that being born in Kentucky USA. It would be straight to their gulag equivalent for you as a "US spy"
- basementcat 3y agoPeople from all over the world manage to visit the DPRK (including with a US passport) without spending time in a gulag (unless that was part of their tour package). https://pyongyangmarathon.com/ https://pyongyangmarathon.com/
