People overusing the term “privilege” harm their cause celebre.
- yareal 3y agoPrivilege absolutely exists. And overuse of the term privilege absolutely dilutes the impact of the concept, imo. But people are going to attach themselves to a term they like, that's just human nature, unfortunately. So I think it's best to just be like, "yeah, this term is going to get bandied about, let's make sure not to get too attached to every instance it is used."
