How many people do you know who wouldn't care about any of life's problems if they could get a Big Mac?
- pjerem 2y agoA lot. Me included. A lot of people eat caloric food to compensate for stress. It’s a very documented behavior and it’s just a different poison from cigarettes or alcohol to get some lacking dopamine. Then it activates the same reward mechanisms in your brain and then you are stuck. Yes it’s short time relief, but that’s no different than any other drug and this one is legal and cheap.
- sungho_ 2y agoThat's yes difference that it's short time relief. And you're already caring about the problem now. In fact, it's even possible that you can be caring about that because you've had a Big Mac to reduce your stress. In the context of this discussion, drugs mean something preventing you from doing this. The Big Mac is just junk food.
