On the other hand, good bacteria are passed from pet to person. fwiw, my theory is its one of the reasons pet owners live longer. That is, aside from the (emotional) companionship, the pet-sources bacteria strengthen the gut / immune system. (1) Yes, not always but often enough, especially at the scale often enough happens.
