Wouldn't it be better to have laws that make sense instead of relying on the side effect of the police force being overwhelmed and hence ignores the laws that don't make sense?
- Retric 3y agoHaving fewer police directly saves money so that’s a double win. Further, even reasonable laws can be twisted by a cop with to much time on there hands. Streamlining the legal code isn’t really something individual voters can really accomplish. Look at the slow march if pot legalization and that’s something a significant majority of people supported long before the ball started rolling.
