What an incredibly naive and simplistic take on what is obviously a complex issue. It's just a fact that these types of "free" apps come at a cost - and in this case, it's the the attention of our teens and pre-teens.
You might do well to read up on how Meta (and Google, Amazon, Microsoft, etc.) have amassed their great fortunes and control via these "free and harmless" apps.
- internetter 3y agoI never commented on platforms where you can scroll forever like FaceBook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, and all the other social medias. This isn't a social media. It's an app to have conversations with people you know. Like your parents. Or your best friends. Or your grandma. If somehow a chat application for the people you know is able to spiral out of a parent's control, there is something wrong.
