Is there a good alternative to postman. I recently tried Bruno and liked it but it was lacking in so many little ways I had to revert to postman. And not for the first time either, I’ve tried other solutions. Postman seems so heavy and annoying now but everything else seems lacking somewhere
- BotuIism 2y agohttps://firecamp.dev/ https://firecamp.dev/ is the best that I've found. It supports the things I care about most.
- myaccountonhn 2y agohurl.dev has served me well.
- digaozao 2y agoDifferent use case, but when I am working in a intellij environment I like to use their http client, based on .http files. I find it elegant.
- mrweiner 2y agoHuh, I’ve lived inside phpstorm for years and didn’t realize there was an http client
- i0nutzb 2y agoNot only that, but it's also fairly potent, allowing you to pass variables from one request to another, transform response, inject .env vars etc. If all of your team is using Jetbrains products, you can also add the http files to the version control so everyone could have the requests ready to use. In other words: it's a beast https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/http-client-in-product-code-editor.html https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/http-client-in-product-c... --- BTW, you might also find useful to know that you also have a very powerful SQL environment as well ;) https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/relational-databases.html https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/relational-databases.htm...
- mrweiner 2y agoRad thanks for the info. I did know about the SQL capabilities, at least. :)
- icandoit 2y agoBruno rest client works for me. Simple but is has environments and variables.
