Its not hard to find an army of middle managers that are chanting that Ted Lasso mantra - 'it’s about helping these young fellas be the best versions of themselves on and off the field'. Who doesn't feel good about watching a kid grow and bloom? But then what happens when the army of Ted's have to layoff all those young fellas that are blooming in the abnormal environment that is corporate wonderland? There is nothing magical about every layoff season, and the number of decent middle managers I run into that are having total breakdowns watching what happens to their people.
