The lead that Nvidia has over every other chip maker is as much in software and libraries as it is in technology.
CUDA and the libraries that implement it (like Rapids.ai) make it easy for data engineers and others who need to use GPU's.
Until the others provide this level of user friendliness I dont see how they compete.

- constantcrying 2y agoIntel also had a lot of trouble with the drivers for their recent discrete GPU.

- xs83 2y agoThen I look forward to seeing Intel provide something as user friendly as CUDA for developers to use and for it to have things like RAPIDS.ai supported by Intel
