I understand that taking a break and getting perspective while in the midst of a lot of work can be effective, but this seems a little bit extravagant.
- biggitybones 14y agoAs per the first post (part 1), they're from Australia. Can't imagine it being too much $$ to go to NZ from there.
- batiudrami 14y agoEspecially if you run a website designed to find you the cheapest airfares. But seriously, you can get a return flight SYD or MEL to AKL for about $200+taxes.
- redguava 14y agoI would guess that if anyone can find cheap flights it would be them.
- borski 14y agoDoesn't seem that bad; seems just like someone from the Bay Area taking a company retreat to Santa Cruz or San Diego.
- cyanbane 14y agostill have to agree with tim_sw, I am amazed startups looking at 5 month window decide to take company retreats (maybe we are talking only 2-3 people?)

- SeoxyS 14y agoIf you're burning out and are struggling, sometimes a break and some time to think things through without the pressure is the best thing you could do. You know how when you have a really tricky bug that's killing you, that you really want to figure out right now. Sometimes, the best way to solve it is to step away for a little bit. Take a walk, go to the gym, and it'll come to you. Same thing.
