We get it. It's been garbage for over 6 years. Possibly edging on a decade. Yes Google is aware and complicit. No they're not going to change it. Why? Because it PRINTS MONEY for them.
- Animats 2y agoGoogle is trying desperately to lock down Chrome to prevent others from putting in filters to remove the junk. Hence all the new rules on add-ons.
- warkdarrior 2y agoAre there any other search engines that do better on finding this long tail stuff? Using the "musical influences on Stravinsky" search as an example, both Kagi and Marginalia give me mostly encyclopedia pages and generic sites selling me stuff, just like Google.
