I also have a fear of having my private key on my phone, but it's a nebulous kind of paranoid fear. I don't know if there's actually any good reason to have this paranoia or what the best practice is. I suppose having the same key in fewer places inherently increases security, but there has to be a line somewhere... Not accessing email on my phone would be a giant productivity killer.
