When in tablet mode on a device like the Legion Go or the ROG Ally - clicking the search bar in the start menu closes it and then opens the dumb “search popup”, which breaks your input focus and you have to tap the search bar again. So to search, swipe up - tap search bar - tap the same search bar again. I’m not sure who from the UX team vetted that, but it’s awful UX. I also don’t need copilot to try to digest every file I have for Microsoft to use in their training set. Gaming on Linux is getting very good especially with the work from the steam deck, so I’m hoping one day I can just drop windows on my gaming PC. I have a few Linux servers and use a MacBook for everything else and couldn’t be happier.
