The Electrical Items Collection
- eimrine 3y agoThe collection misses items from Soviet Union.
- Aardwolf 3y agoThe Danish sockets look very happy, and the US sockets look shocked
- dvh 3y agoI think the British sockets are superior to others. Circuit breakers in house protects the wires in walls (because those who installed circuit breakers knew what wires are in the walls). And fuse in the British socket protects the wires to the device because the manufacturer knew what device are the wires connected to. Plus the prongs are not exposed. It simply all makes sense. (Disclaimer: French socket haver here)
- nayuki 3y agoBritish plugs are humongous and unwieldy compared to all the others. The reason that British plugs have fuses is to counteract bad decisions upstream like ring circuits with huge current capacities instead of brand circuits with small capacities. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ring_circuit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ring_circuit
