My friend (urbanite) was offered statins but declined and instead went on a "P90x" home gym program. Six months later, his doctor agreed that statins weren't needed provided he stayed in shape. Of course, you have to actually do the exercise :)
- shiroiushi 3y agoI think a lot of medications like that are basically a substitute for a healthier lifestyle. Not everyone can pull off the healthier lifestyle, so the drugs are good for them, but for others, they wouldn't be getting prescribed these drugs if they lived healthier to begin with.
