I hate to say it, but the most successful strategy now is to avoid raising alarms and wait until the powers encounter truly terrible events that they can't escape to Mars or hide in their apocalypse bunkers. Both Hummer-drivers and Wendy's slurping carnivores must feel the pain. Reactionary impulses and big money override science, logic, and prevention. This is even too big for the insurance industry and re-insurers to address on the edges with financial incentives.
- barfbagginus 2y agoYou suggest non-interventionism leading to collapse events that then cause reform. I think an even more successful strategy than is to sabotage the wealthy with social and economic attacks designed to stress them enough to effect change. Hypothetically, the wealthy can be made to feel intense pain without triggering collapse events that kill millions or billions. If that's true, then that's the better strategy.
- taylodl 2y agoNot being a smart ass here - this is an ingenious strategy - BUT: seeing as how these people control government how do you propose we effect this sabotage?
- c1sc0 2y agoIt has many names: asymmetrical warfare, terrorism, resistance, civil disobedience, etc …
- andriesm 2y agoThis entire thread just drips of venomous, manipulative and toxic scheming. Regardless of your intended outcomes, your methods and attitudes are atrocious. This explains the research that shows why far left world improver types often have above average levels of dark triad personality types in their ranks. My suggestion is: "Clean your room" - i. e. get rid of resentment and the desire to control others and rather fix your own life and use that as the starting point for being the change you want to see ripple out into the world.
