It’s hard to believe an upgrade would cost hundreds of millions. Would a straight port to modern hardware really be that expensive?
Or is the price tag because of the giant complex mess the upgrade project would become?
Why is the government so bad at buying software?
- JojoFatsani 3y agoI reckon a passionate and talented engineer or two could have this virtualized in a few days, given the right access and resources.
- gcheong 3y agoWell, the voters approved a 400 million bond about 10 million of which is earmarked for "improvements to the Muni train system, including the train communication and control systems". I'm sure they'll find a way to spend it.
