I'm hoping that the DoJ and EU ream Apple out for their forced bundling with the iPhone and the Apple watch/air tags as well as the mandatory integration of their cloud platform in all their devices. I'd love to see a world where a regulator forces them and microsoft to open up their icloud/onedrive implementations so that they're modular and an end user like me can swap it out for a private 3rd party solution or my ownself hosted solution like nextcloud. I should be able to store my notes however I want on the devices I own.
