- anotherhue 3y agoStructural changes always take longer, there's more code the review, to port and to validate, along with many users who want their experience to remain bug-free. Many projects are starting off 'wayland-native' and they are having an easier time. Once you have users your side-project is a side-job.

- yjftsjthsd-h 3y ago> Which compositor is used? > Any wlroots-based compositor (including Labwc, Wayfire, Hyprland and Sway) should work, and kwin_wayland works really fine too. Well that's neat. I don't think I've seen any other DE that left that open-ended in Wayland? Although I guess that depends on exactly how you define (wm/compositor) vs Desktop Environment. (Although it does make the prior "But I need global shortcuts!" "You can configure them in the compositor." a little unfortunate)
