I don’t think you can use history as a guide here, because this is the first time in history we have inverted population pyramids as far as I know. The only parallel is Russias invasion of Ukraine. But there’s a huge difference: Russia is mostly sending people from other ethnicities, which might serve the purpose of cleansing these ethnicities making it easier for Russians to keen full control over its empire in the future. But China is mostly Han, and Han is the ethnicity most affected by the demographic collapse. Supposedly the Uyghurs was exempt from the one child policy, so their population pyramid might be healthier. And I think China has that region under control anyway.
