Rarely mentioned in articles like this boosting ebikes: weather. If it's rainy, snowy, icy, or in some climates blazing hot, there's not going to be as much enthusiasm about jumping on a bike if a climate-controlled car is available.
- PaulHoule 3y agoI dunno. It rains a lot in Het Nederland (I remember the time I bought an umbrella in Amsterdam and had the wind turn it inside out immediately) but people bike everywhere. I use to ride a mountain bike up and down the hill in Ithaca even when it was snowy, I felt more sure-footed on the bike than I felt on my own feet and that was after I blew my knees biking and took a year to heal enough to ride up the hill if I took a less-than-direct route. I know they are wildly popular in Ithaca and lots of people are getting them despite our climate being less than ideal.
