Does your Hosting Provider Proactivly Contact you during Outages?

Websites get hacked, users break their sites...but ultimately hosts get the blame most of the time. Would you you prefer to work with a host that proactively contacts you when they notice your site has a problem (even if its not their fault)? We're just curious...
