Show HN: Automatically Create Beautiful Product Updates
- barbazoo 3y ago> Notely uses AI to automatically generate beautiful product updates. I read the landing page but I have no idea what this actually does. What's a "product update" in this context?
- doofyin 3y agoAh basically all SAAS products send weekly/monthly product updates like this: https://www.notion.so/releases/2024-02-26 https://www.notion.so/releases/2024-02-26 Does this help? If so would love to understand how I could have described it a little better :)
- matteason 3y agoI'd call these 'release notes'
- doofyin 3y agothis helps :)
- barbazoo 3y agoGotcha. So the integration with Jira is to figure out what has changed and what needs to be communicated? And Sendgrid can be used to actually send the emails? I would be more explicit with the flow of things. The example doesn't do it for me somehow, not sure why. I don't quite get how the dinner planning Notion page would get translated to sending an update of some sorts. You might just want to expand on that or use a different example. Maybe as simple as Jira tickets to Email with more resources of other integrations (input vs output). It was also a bit confusing to have the "Learn more ->" link (at least it looks like a link here) not do anything. Oh wait, is that whole red bordered box an example of a product update? That wasn't clear at all. Maybe combine that with the Jira tickets that were used as a source for that update. This looks neat, I wish you good luck and hope it takes off. Let me know if I can help more.
- XCSme 2y agoI am not sure about this to be honest, personally the Product Update/Changelog is the most personal/human thing I have to write while developing. This is because I have to clearly explain what changed, why, what are the impacts of those changes, what business decisions made drove me to make this change, etc.
