AI trained on Van Gogh's works turns selfies into Post-Impressionist portraits
- JoeAltmaier 3y agoNice tool. A couple issues. Filled in the form and pressed generate - got the signup barrier. Ok, sign up. Then just plopped back down on the form page. Expected it to start generating. Stared at it for thirty seconds, decided to risk pressing a button again. THEN it generated. Finally, my portrait picture (just my face) resulted in some guy I don't know, in an impressionist style. Different face entirely, different hair entirely, different color eyes, just no resemblance whatsoever. Were some wires crossed in there? A good idea if it did anything more than collect my email. Now I'm wondering if it isn't just a honeytrap for email collection. Hm.
- PicassoPix 3y agoThank you for bringing that to my attention. I've made an update so that when you sign up or log in via the popup on the model page, the image will automatically begin generating. Regarding the issue of the generated image not resembling you, this can sometimes occur due to the novelty of the technology. If you upload all four images of your face, it should result in a closer resemblance. Since we've just launched, perfection isn't guaranteed every time. However, we've found that using four images generally improves accuracy. To demonstrate that it genuinely works and isn't a tactic for collecting emails, feel free to try uploading a face from thispersondoesnotexist.com or a celebrity's face. You'll see that it does indeed work!
