- tomaskafka 3y agoI don't think so - there is no 'general cancer', there's a lot of cancers ...
- vikramkr 3y agoThe better way of thinking about it is that this progress is allowing us to shift away from the idea of 'general' cancer or identifying cancer by tissue of origin to instead start identifying it by more useful and actionable features. So instead of talking about pancreatic cancer or colon cancer, with PD-1 inhibitors like keytruda we instead have an approval for any solid tumor that's mismatch repair deficient, something we can test for and that relates to the efficacy of a specific drug.
