Opt-Models: Intro to Optimization Programming Using LEGOs
- skadamat 3y agoFound the intro video btw: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaQcSxtWi10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaQcSxtWi10
- pimlottc 3y agoDoes the actually have anything to do with Lego or it’s just using a Lego theme for the images?
- bobajeff 3y agoFrom what I can tell it's using online community Lego databases for an example application to be optimized.
- skadamat 3y agoMartin seems to be using the Rebrickable database of LEGO's as a motivating example throughout this optimization series: https://rebrickable.com/downloads/ https://rebrickable.com/downloads/
- martinlaskowski 3y ago@bobajeff, you are right on.
- martinlaskowski 3y ago@pimlottc, thank you for the question, and yes: this series is deeply to do with the LEGO part and set universe. The optimization model's function is "Find the maximum number of sets completable with a user’s part inventory" and the data involved in the search is : SETS, THEMES, PARTS, COLORS, MATERIALS, (PART)CATEGORIES, PART-RELATIONSHIPS, etc. P.S. sorry to be so late to reply here folks! Martin Laskowski (the dude making the videos).
- kylemart 3y agoThis is very cool. Excited to see how this evolves!
- martinlaskowski 3y agoThank you Kyle! Dropping the third video today, appreciate your interest and all suggestions on how to make this thing better.
