It is the best written reply in this thread. The style is great, up until "ur azz". I'd have appreciated a less hackneyed metaphor, but I can understand the author wanted to finish the lament. What does surprise is me why someone is so strongly opposed to something that is optional, is a support, and doesn't even get in the way of laying bare the algorithm. It's an annotation to the function declaration, not unlike a return type. Perhaps it's the verbosity?
