Google search has been getting worse over time, and has strongly biased towards showing its own content, or content extracted from source sites, rather than linking to those. I think key issues of this move will be: - if people are paying for it, it had better be good, trustworthy, etc - if they're getting meaningful revenue by generating responses based on info pulled from various source sites, and clicks into sites mostly vanish as users instead just make more detailed requests to the model ... surely we need to renegotiate whether google can continue to scrape for free
