Brands Paid for Ads on Forbes.com. Some Ran on a Copycat Site Instead
- bediger4000 3y agoImagine that. Advertising, which is as close to lies as possible, showing up on a liar website. Seems like a just outcome to me.
- sonicanatidae 3y agoI don't believe they are as close to lies as possible, I believe they are outright lies, solely put there to generate revenue by selling a service/good. Ads today, like all things when humans are involved without guardrails are simply out of hand. Pages with more ads than content, stashed behind a clickbait headline, and configured to make you click to the next page, to continue the article, solely for the purpose of putting even more horse shit ads in your face. The fly-out videos are particularly annoying to me. FFS, I rarely get on the web anymore without Pi-hole. A simple example of the acceptance of horse shit ads/marketing. Walk into any fast food place you can name, order something, then compare it to the picture on the menu (ad) that you were told you would get for $XX.
