All hype cycles involve bubbles and bursts. The point is on a longer time scale the growth happens anyway... look at the .com bubble followed by the internet eating the world. Things just take longer than you expect and initial leaders tend to fall behind. The big question here is where OpenAI and Nvidia will be in 10-15 years... my theory is that chips will be mass produced as we've seen in past waves bringing costs and valuations down for Nvidia... meanwhile OpenAI's death grip from Microsoft will strangle it slowly into an AOL like outcome
