European governments are making substantial revenues by fining American companies. Why innovate when you can regulate?
- sham1 3y agoAmerican companies are always free to leave, if they don't want to be regulated. Yeah, we'd also need more innovation here, but regulation is not a bad thing no matter what libertarians say.
- zrn900 3y agoThe problem is that this is speedily turning into a moat-building process pushed by incumbent large software companies here in Europe. The laws they push are hampering both smaller software outfits and even open source.
