The party pack of twelve soft tacos at Taco Bell costs $30 if you want sour cream. It costs just as much to add a few dollups of sour cream to the tacos as it is to by a bulk tub of tub of sour cream at one of the warehouse stores.
- viraptor 3y agoThat's... the idea of restaurants, right? You can get all the ingredients in bulk yourself and save on the labour costs by making it yourself.
- friend_and_foe 3y agoThis reminds me of a hilariously unaware post on reddit a couple of years ago. A guy found a "hack" to Whole Foods sandwiches to get them cheaper... by walking around the store, getting the ingredients to the sandwich, buying them and making the sandwich himself. Some people are so domesticated by advertising it just doesn't occur to them to do things themselves.
