There’s the fuel savings (and saved time from lining up at the busy Costco gas station) and then there’s the time and money saved from not having to get oil changes/ planned maintenances and unplanned maintenances. I can’t wait to trade in my family’s last ICE for an EV, after the 60K maintenance was quoted at thousands of dollars. I’ve owned several EVs over the past 5 years and I’ve only ever had to add windshield washer fluid and replace the tires. I’m a fairly right-leaning guy for whatever that counts for, but the time savings and convenience are undeniable.
