Building a Compiler in 25 Days [video]
- doublerabbit 3y agoIt's a shame. I watch these videos, get in to them and then youtube shows an advert which I then close the tab. Oh well. Congrats on the guy building a compiler.
- jylam 3y agoYou should either install an ad blocker or pay for YT premium and stop whining.
- doublerabbit 3y agoThe money that Alphabet makes from all Dark-UI, data and other crud they abuse the internet with; they should be forced to make YouTube free. If YouTube is going to show adverts, I'll just won't give viewers attention. Your the fool if you thinking paying is worth while. It only forces upon encouragement of adverts and ensures that Google has the better of you, to even think Google needs the money is laughable at best. They want your money, and they get it. I won't give them mine, so I won't watch. The presenter misses out in the end. Don't give me bandwidth, storage costs and all that crap because that's pocket change to them. So stop being a sheep or stop telling me what to do.
- plastic-enjoyer 3y agoPeople here are really dying on the weirdest of hills
- doublerabbit 3y agoWeird hills are less boring then sheep filled hill, maybe. /shrug
- DaSHacka 3y agoI'd prefer a "sheep-filled hill" to a schizo-filled one...
- doublerabbit 3y agoI'd prefer a hill with no one but me. Unless your the schizo, than oof; unlucky.
- mattsan 3y agoTo be clear, that's a problem with your attention span, and not with the creator.
- doublerabbit 3y agoMy attention is great. Adverts on the other hand I don't have time in the day to waste watch adverts. It's why I don't watch TV, nor YouTube apart from the odd occasional video. Driving home I am nuked with adverts in my face. Listening to music on the radio with adverts thrown in to my ears.
- DaSHacka 3y ago> Driving home I am nuked with adverts in my face. Listening to music on the radio with adverts thrown in to my ears. Ironically, despite giving up more than most of us to spite these ads, you appear to listen to them more often than the rest of us. There's a reason a decent number of us have adblockers installed and download local copies of everything we consume, its really not that hard to get around the advert hell that is modern edu-tainment while sacrificing (almost) nothing
- doublerabbit 3y agoI don't drive, live in the city centre. So I see billboards everywhere. What's not to say I don't listen to adverts and that was the figure of speech of if your phone is dead, or you don't have some player that allows you to play your own music? I have adblocks all over the place. That itself still doesn't stop sponsored content and all the other crap thrown in your face. Don't act stupid, you know it's real.
- Almondsetat 3y agoYou can actually not close the tab!
- doublerabbit 3y agoOr I can and refuse to watch the video and the advert.
