> Edit: I’ve received a few comments on the pic I’m using. This image was AI generated from Bing using the prompt: “Mannequin CEO conducting a Boardroom meeting with mannequin Directors.” And yes, I’m aware it’s a bit inappropriate, but decided to intentionality go with the first image Bing generated. Apologies if you’re not a fan, but (in my opinion) the best way to “fix” these things is to put a spotlight on it.
It isn’t just inappropriate, it’s really sexism, too. The fact that the male mannequins wear suits and the female mannequins are naked speaks volumes about the internet used in training the model; and also about the reinforcing nature of these things.
I’m not sure there’s something profound here, I’m just sad people continue to proliferate these stereotypes.

- tiptup300 3y agoPeople need to be more often disclaim when they make an "ironic joke" to explain the joke and point out that those who enjoy the joke from the other side where, you're "just speaking the truth", those people are in the wrong. Or just.... not make the joke. Maybe as this sort of thing becomes a problem more often we'll see more of these "edits" on personal blogs, posts, comments, etc. Could be interesting to have a pen test set of ai generated images and every year see how the data comes out the other side. Probably not useful as the image would change so drastic each time even within the same set of data.
